Archer Learning Academy (Springdale School District) – Success Story

Archer Learning Academy utilized ISEP fund to build garden beds and support, in part, the building of a pavilion to serve as a outdoor classroom.

The gardens were a regular location of the Intro to Horticulture class.

Students were allowed to act as interns and work along the construction crew building the pavilion, learning valuable skilled labor knowledge, including working with blueprints, power tools, building materials and working on the project until its completion.  Some students were provided opportunities to pursue apprenticeships upon graduation.
